New advisory fuel rates effective from 1 June 2022:
The advisory fuel rates have increased from 1-3p per mile due to the spiraling costs of fuel at garages around the country.
Advisory fuel rates are used in the following circumstances:
- to reimburse employees for business travel in their company cars; or
- to require employees to repay the cost of fuel used for private travel.
The advisory fuel rate for fully electric cars will remain at 5p per mile, with Hybrid cars being treated as either petrol or diesel.
